The Swedish Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for 2024 was announced on Monday, October 14. The laureates are American economists Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson and James Robinson for their study of differences in wealth across countries and for their research “on how institutions are formed and how they influence prosperity.”
